The Feast of Sant'Efisio
The first May, a national holiday for workers, took Cagliari for a value of its own, because, on the same day, held in the city the most important religious procession in Sardinia: the Feast of Sant'Efisio. While, therefore, in other cities of Italy is celebrated the worker and his achievements in the field of law and protection of trade union organizing with rock concerts, famous among all those in Rome organised by the CGIL and to be attended by national and star foreign Cagliari growing religiosity and Sardinian culture, which has in the feast of Sant'Efisio its natural seminal event.

Historical Information


The 1657 is regarded by scholars as the beginning of the year festival.
